Brad Pitt Relives Assassination Glory at Venice Fest
Brad Pitt thought his luggage felt a little light when he left Italy last summer.
In town to do some good and herald the premiere of his new film, Burn After Reading, the actor was unexpectedly presented Wednesday with the Best Actor trophy he won last year for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford during the opening ceremony of the 65th Venice International Film Festival.
"You can run but you can't hide," Pitt said, accepting the engraved gold cup from the mistress of ceremonies, who also congratulated him on the twin additions to his family.

Emmy Scoop! Kathy Griffin Booked for the Big Night?
Is Kathy Griffin presenting at the Primetime Emmy Awards?
That's what I'm hearing.
I sure hope it happens. The funnylady could, no doubt, make things a bit more fun on television's biggest night. The Emmys will be handed out on Sept. 21 and telecast live from L.A.'s Nokia Theatre.
No word on what award she'll be presenting...
Luna Gets Full at Imagen Awards
La Misma Luna outshone all comers last night at the 23rd Annual Imagen Awards, honoring Latino achievements in film and TV.
The Spanish-language flick, centering on a Mexican boy who crosses the U.S. border to reunite with his mother, scored a leading five trophies, including Best Picture.
On the TV side, Ugly Betty walked away with Best Primetime Program, while Carlos Mencia, Christina Milian, Cesar Millan and Heroes were among the night's other winners.
Frosted Phelps. Will You Eat 'Em?
It’s a sad day for Wheaties. Kellogg’s beat out the “Breakfast of Champions” for the honor of featuring Michael Phelps on Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes cereal boxes.
Does anyone else miss the iconic orange background that usually goes along with Olympic victory? And “Better eat your Frosted Flakes, son” doesn’t sound nearly as inspiring.
Of course, nutritionists aren’t too happy about the switch either, since Tony the Tiger’s cereal has three times the amount of sugar as Wheaties and only a third of the fiber, neither of which help the fight against childhood obesity.
They have a point. We definitely ate more Frosted Flakes than Wheaties growing up, and look where we are—blogging. So, kids, remember that next time you're in the cereal aisle. Also, skip the Lucky Charms and Fruity Pebbles—that stuff does nothing for you. Except make you a better blogger.
Phelps Talks Gold Medals, Not Golden-Haired Girls
Michael Phelps is one proud young man and rightfully so. The 23-year-old graces the cover of the upcoming issue of Sports Illustrated, showing off his toned bod and those eight Olympic gold medals he scored in Beijing.
And given the super swimmer's newfound star power, ladies all over the world are aching to know about more than just his sporting stats.
Rumored to be dating either fellow breaststroking babe Amanda Beard or model Lily Donaldson, Michael stays mum when questioned about the issue.
"My private life is my private life. I have to keep something private. You guys know everything else," the Olympian tells Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM show.
T.R. Knight: No Wedding in the Works
T.R. Knight is thrilled his pal Ellen DeGeneres married Portia de Rossi this weekend, but that doesn't mean he's going to be the next gay celebrity to say "I do."
"I'm happy for them," Knight said at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation's Hot in Hollywood Awards Saturday at L.A. nightclub Avalon, adding, "I'm very happy that we can talk about this subject—very, very happy."
While the Grey's Anatomy star was quick to say he and boyfriend Mark Cornelsen aren't planning a wedding "right now," he did beam, "We just celebrated a little over eight months though!"
But when it came time to talk about the new season of Grey's, Knight was tight-lipped...
Betty Cleans Up Good at ALMA Awards
Ugly Betty had a beautiful night at the 2008 ALMA Awards.
Not only did the recently relocated series take home the award for best Latino-led ensemble cast at the Sunday ceremony, but star America Ferrera walked away with the top prize of the night, Entertainer of the Year.
Ferrera earned the accolade not only for her work on the ABC hit, but for her offscreen efforts to encourage youth to become politically active.
The 24-year-old star also brought her magic awards touch to La Misma Luna, an indie film in which she had a small part. The movie took home the Special Achievement Award for a Spanish-language motion picture.
MTV Loves Britney Spears to Pieces
Is Britney Spears feeling some pressure to perform at MTV's upcoming Video Music Awards?
Well, the gal definitely has good reason to take to the stage. She's just nabbed a third VMA nomination for Video of the Year for "Piece of Me."
She and Chris Brown lead the VMA noms with three apiece. (Brown must have the magic touch because he's also featured on Jordin Sparks' twice-nominated "No Air.")
Britney Spears' Brand of Humor
Britney Spears is proving day after day that she is well on her way to getting back to being the pop princess we all fell in love with not so long ago.
Check her out in one of the promos she shot for MTV's Video Music Awards alongside the show's host, Russell Brand—the mama of two looks hot!
Isn't it nice to hear her laughing and having a good time?
And the only headshaving we’d like to see from now on is that of Mr. Brand. The Brit bad-boy comedian's signature updo is bloody scary.
Brawlin' Blonsky Bunch No Big Surprise?
Nikki Blonsky's brawl with Bianca Golden surprised most people, but not everyone.
More specifically, a well-placed source alleges that Nikki's mother, Karen, has more often than not made working with her 19-year-old daughter unbearable.
The source was not shocked about the Turks and Caicos rumble between the Blonsky clan and former America's Next Top Model contestant Golden and her mom, Elaine.
"I'm just surprised it hadn't happened sooner," the source says. "Her mom is so obnoxious and difficult."

Olsen Twins Butt of Jokes at Bob Saget Roast
It's probably a good thing that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen skipped last night's Comedy Central Roast of their Full House father, Bob Saget.
Hosted by another Full House alum, John Stamos, the comedic beatdown included loads of raunchy sexcentric jokes about the Olsen twins.
Roasters like Jon Lovitz, The Sarah Silverman Program's Brian Posehn and Gilbert Gottfried showed no restraint during the two-hour taping on a Warner Bros. soundstage in Burbank. They even made several cracks about having sex with the Olsens when they were underage.
