Update
Mackenzie Phillips Collared for Drugs
Mackenzie Phillips is seriously going to need to take it One Day at a Time after her latest run-in with the law.
The 48-year-old former TV star, whose role on the hit CBS sitcom was derailed in the early '80s due to a nasty drug habit, was collared this morning at Los Angeles International Airport after allegedly trying to bring heroin and cocaine aboard an airliner.
Office Star Cops to Drug Charge
Guilty? That's what he said.
The Office denizen Craig Robinson pleaded guilty today in Los Angeles to one felony count of possessing a controlled substance, namely Ecstasy, stemming from his arrest earlier this summer.
The actor, who plays warehouse worker Darryl in the NBC hit, originally faced the additional charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor driving under the influence, but Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz dismissed the latter two charges.
That's what you call a win-win-win.
Ex-Guns N' Roses Drummer Arraigned
It's not so easy being Steven Adler.
The former Guns N' Roses drummer pleaded not guilty to drug charges today in Los Angeles Superior Court stemming from a bust last month at his Hollywood home.
Adler, 43, was ordered to remain in a drug-treatment facility for at least another month (much to the relief of Dr. Drew, no doubt), until a Sept. 17 preliminary hearing. The musician faces one felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, an opiate, and a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of drugs.
The Office's Darryl Facing Drug Charges
We know what the topic of conversation around the water cooler is going to be next week.
Craig Robinson, who in addition to his current role as a hit man in Pineapple Express is best known as Darryl, the warehouse foreman and Kelly's nonchalant suitor on The Office, is facing felony drug charges stemming from an arrest during a June traffic stop.
Sean Paul Busy With Swedish Cops
This year it was the cops who got busy at the Uppsala Reggae Festival.
Sean Paul was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession Friday after getting swept up in a police raid at the annual Swedish music fest, which takes place in the town of Uppsala, about 110 miles north of Stockholm.
Kinda like shooting fish in a barrel, though, isn't it?
Anyway, per TMZ, the Jamaican artist was one of 200 to 300 people—including 10 performers—who were hauled off to a local police station for questioning. Police said that they collected evidence at the scene and an investigation into the allegedly smoky shenanigans is currently underway.
"Jane Doe" on Ledger Coke Video Tries to Keep Privacy Suit Alive
Nearly seven months after his death, what Heath Ledger did behind closed doors is still a major issue for some people.
A woman suing celebrity-photo agency Splash News after she ended up on a tape featuring the late actor in close proximity to cocaine is fighting to keep her legal action from being dismissed.
The plaintiff, who refers to herself only as "Jane Doe" in her complaint, claims her privacy rights were violated because she was caught on video with the Dark Knight star—whom she claims was duped into participating.
Update
Heath Ledger Drug Case Closed
Mary-Kate Olsen has avoided being served.
Law enforcement reps, speaking on condition of anonymity, are saying that the Drug Enforcement Administration has closed its investigation into how Heath Ledger obtained two of the prescription painkillers found in his system at the time of his sudden death on Jan. 22.
That aspect of the federal agency's inquiry was expected to involve Olsen, who via her attorney issued a statement Monday saying that she had "nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and does not know where he obtained them."
Winehouse OK; Leaves Sick Bay
The "Rehab" songbird is on the rebound.
Amy Winehouse was released from a London hospital early this morning, a day after being admitted for an adverse reaction to medication.
Her rep, Chris Goodman, said the Grammy winner was in good spirits after having what appeared to be a seizure yesterday at her north London residence.
Ex-Guns N' Roses Drummer Busted for Drugs
Paging Dr. Drew. Somebody's been dancing with Mr. Brownstone again.
Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler was arrested early this morning at a home in Hollywood on suspicion of drug possession, E! News has learned.
According to LAPD spokeswoman April Harding, police received a call at approximately 4 a.m. about a man creating a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers determined the 43-year-old musician was to blame and took him into custody.
Andy Dick Arrested for Exposing Teen
Andy Dick has once again found himself on the wrong side of the law.
The arrest-prone actor was busted in Murietta, Calif., early this morning on felony charges of sexual battery, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and public intoxication after allegedly groping and exposing a 17-year-old restaurant patron.
The arresting officer, Lt. Dennis Vrooman, told E! News he picked up the actor at 1:13 a.m. today outside the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and bar after receiving a complaint about a man urinating outside and generally causing a disturbance.
"He was extremely intoxicated," Vrooman said.
A Barenaked Bust
It's a Barenaked shame.
Barenaked Ladies' singer and guitarist Steven Page was arrested Friday in upstate New York and charged with possession of cocaine, a police spokesman confirmed.
According to the Manlius Police Department, the 38-year-old musician and two women were holed up in an apartment in Fayetteville, just outside of Syracuse, at approximately 2 a.m. Friday, when a patrol unit arrived on scene to inspect a nearby car with its driver's side door left open.
Judge Signs Off on Lindsay's Progress
Lindsay Lohan is right on track. (To where, we're not exactly sure yet, but at least she's moving along in a straight line.)
A Los Angeles judge agreed with the 22-year-old starlet's attorney today when he determined that Lohan had "proper attendance" and "no missed dates" regarding the various obligations she has been required to attend as part of her probation from 2007's twin-DUI debacle.
At a status hearing Tuesday, legal eagle Blair Berk told L.A. Superior Court Judge H. Chester Horn Jr. that her client was "completely on track with everything" concerning her plea deal last year on five misdemeanor counts.
