Jennifer Lopez Talks Triathlon

New mom and Self’s Most Inspiring Woman of 2008 Jennifer Lopez was on Good Morning America today talking twins and triathlon training.

About her triathlon plans, she had this to say: “It actually came up when I was about 8 months pregnant and I was beached like a whale. I was watching TV and I saw a triathlon and I said, ‘You know what? I think I could do that, that would be great for me to do. Maybe I’ll do it this year.’ ”

And seven months later, she’s ready to swim, bike and run in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon this Sept. 14—for charity, of course.

Now on to the stuff we really care about—babies!

Rebecca Romijn is the latest star to be pregnant with twins. Is there something in the water in Hollywood?
—Molly, Dayton, Ohio

The compounded pregnantitis, it be spreading. Brangelina, Julia Roberts and now Rebecca Romijn. Or perhaps you speak perhaps of Marcia Cross, who had her twins at age 44. No mystery on that last one. She has said she had in vitro fertilization before conceiving her girls. And some other celebumoms may have had help as well.

"There's a reasonably good chance that some of these women had twins because of in vitro fertilization," says physician Judy Albert of Reproductive Health Specialists in Pittsburgh.

Why that conclusion? Find out after the jump.

Life with twins is making Jennifer Lopez run for The Governess.

The supposedly nanny-averse actress has lined up a new postmaternity-leave project, E! News has confirmed, a romantic comedy about a professional thief who passes herself off as a nanny to a wealthy widower with three rowdy children so she can pull off the score of a lifetime. And—surprise!—she begins to fall for the family and reconsider her life of crime.

The Governess reunites her with screenwriter Kevin Wade, who penned her 2002 box-office hit, Maid in Manhattan. The script was cowritten by Wendy Braff with a polish by Don Roos. Director Nigel Cole (Calendar Girls) will roll cameras in Massachusetts in October.

Jenny Turns Down Diva Notch on Her Birthday

Motherhood must really have changed the artist formerly known as J.Lo.

Jennifer Lopez spent her 39th birthday "sneaking in" to the Broadway show In the Heights with hubby Marc Anthony Thursday.

"It was a quiet night. We were really looking forward to seeing this amazing show and being here in New York," Marc tells Ryan Seacrest of their low-key plans on the KIIS-FM morning show.

"[We] just finally got to sit in the audience and watch other people be nervous."

J.Lo's Eatery Comes to an End

It looks like Madre's is no mas.

As Jennifer Lopez continues to live la dolce vita in Europe with hubby Marc Anthony, her popular Pasadena, Calif., eatery has apparently shut its doors, per TMZ.

The six-year-old Latin restaurant posted a sign that reads: "Madre's will be closed...starting July 1, 2008, until further notice."

But who knows? Given how much time the new mom has been spending in Portofino, maybe she's just planning to convert the place into an Italian joint. After all, she wouldn't even have to change the name.

J.Lo Debuts Fabulous, Fashionable Twins

Jennifer Lopez INFphoto.com

Jennifer Lopez's twins, Max and Emme, have managed to keep a fairly low profile since their coming-out spread in People earlier this year.

But the buzzworthy babies are at it again. This time making an appearance in Portofino, Italy, at the home of Stefano Gabbana—as in one-half of designer label Dolce & Gabbana—over the Fourth of July weekend.

We'd expect nothing less, natch, and expect to start receiving detailed fashion reports on their sartorially splendid spit-up bibs any day now.

A-List Secrets: Does J.Lo Really Not Have a Nanny?

I'm confused. J.Lo recently said that she doesn't have any nannies taking care of her twins. But then I see pictures of her and Marc Anthony partying late at night and hanging out on the beach without their kids. So...is J.Lo lying?
—Mandy

How dare you, ma'am? You insinuate that Ms. Lopez is lying just because her kids did not accompany her to a May 23 business lunch, or the this year's Met Gala, or her June 13 private tour of her own 30-story ego? Perhaps she simply dropped off Max and Emme at the Gymboree—whichever location has the 800-thread-count nappy mats.

Yes, Lopez's people recently "confirmed" to US Weekly that she has yet to bring on a hired Mary Poppins for her four-month-olds. For the record, the babies also have "completely changed" the actress, blah blah blah. But veterans of the celebrity nannying scene doubt that Lopez is being entirely real.

Here's why...

J.Lo Flight Attendant Bites Back

Jennifer Lopez INFPhoto.com

One flight attendant isn't after the hair of the dog that bit her—she's after its owner.

Lisa Wilson has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Jennifer Lopez, alleging that the entertainer's German shepherd guard dog made the skies particularly unfriendly during a 2006 private flight by "attacking [Wilson] and biting her pant leg."

The suit, filed Thursday in Brooklyn Federal Court and obtained by E! News, alleges the attack caused her to fall and suffer back injuries that have prevented her from obtaining further work. (View the allegations and full complaint.)

What happens at a movie premiere if the movie just totally sucks? Is there awkward silence and booing?
Thunder Wolf

People booed at the Berlin premiere of J.Lo's bomb Bordertown. There was also cackling, but that was by me, when I read about it way back here in my office. Now, onward with your blistering Burning Q's!

Why did Randy Quaid get a Walk of Fame star in 2003, but three-time Oscar nominee Michelle Pfeiffer didn't get hers until 2007? More importantly, why did Randy Quaid get a star at all?

Could "Jenny From the Block" Become "Jenny on the Hill"?

Jennifer Lopez INFPhoto.com

Is J.Lo vying for the vice presidency? Probably not, but when Jennifer Lopez showed up to Barack Obama’s office unannounced yesterday, she gave no reason for her mysterious visit—leaving it to us to come up with one.

Here are our best guesses:

1.    She wants to be Barack’s running mate.
2.    She wants to be Barack’s running mate.
3.    She wants to be Barack’s running mate.

It really could be any of these reasons. We’ll keep you posted.

J.Lo and Marc's Twins Meet the Family

Not only are Jennifer Lopez's twins, Max and Emme, destined for a fabulous rock-star lifestyle, but the 2½-month-old tots will never be lonely—they have each other as well as two stepsiblings, Cristian and Ryan, courtesy of dad Marc Lopez's former wife, Dayanara Torres.

And all the kids have met and spent time together, she confirms. "Absolutely," Torres tells E! News, while promoting her upcoming book, Married to Me.

But she downplays any drama between the two families: "For whatever reason, people wanna make this whole drama...and it’s nothing, you know? They’re kids, they have siblings."

And now for the ah-ha moment: The book she's writing on divorce is not a tell-all, as previously believed, which could go a long way toward explaining the happy-family scenario.

J.Lo Figures Privacy Is Passé...Or Does She?

UPDATE: Despite TLC's press release suggesting otherwise, Lopez's personal publicist, Leslie Sloane, just issued the following "clarification":

"The show that Jennifer Lopez is doing for TLC is a “docuseries” that follows the creation of a mother/child fragrance launch. It is not about her family and home life with her children."

So much for Out of Sight.

Jennifer Lopez has signed on to star in a reality show—or in press release vernacular, a "docuseries"—on TLC that will follow the performer as she balances her roles as multihyphenate career woman, wife to Marc Anthony and mommy to twins Emme and Max.

"I am excited to be part of the TLC family," J.Lo said in a statement today. "I'm looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together."

Jenny from the Block has certainly come a long way. To think how she was raised in the absence of a camera crew…
